The Role
As FOS continues to grow, we are seeking some experienced Business Development Manager to join our talented sales team. The Business Development Manager is to promote FOS and their associated brands to Engineers, Lighting Designers, Architects, Interior Designers, Builders, Project Managers, and end users within the Melbourne commercial and high-end residential market sector.
The culture is young and vibrant, but founded on experience and maturity, which the new talent will require, experience in lighting and sales with a preference for an architectural design background. This fulltime position based out of our Showroom facility, but also working from our operations warehouse and mobile as required.
Key responsibilities include:
Embrace the core values of the company.
Provide lighting solutions, lighting designs and product advice to your clients that lead to sales FOS products in line with your agreed budgets.
Deliver on the strategic sales plan to achieve the business priorities, drive revenue, and uphold client experience.
Identify new and existing business opportunities to increase growth, promote strong client engagement, and deliver on retention strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
Experience in commercial lighting as a Sales / Account Manager or Business Development Manager. Alternatively, lighting experience in interior design, architecture or engineering.
Ability to analyse specifications, plans and related technical data for projects, tenders, and related commercial contracts.
CRM systems - highly developed skills in the daily use of a CRM (Salesforce).
Self-motivated, results driven individual with an ability to work autonomously and as a team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Effective, high level presentation skills.
Project Management – the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while adapting and understanding the clients need, their organisation and the industry.
Strong client focus – understand what it takes to maintain and develop the most productive client relationships.
Honest and Integrity – prompt responses, manage client expectations and ensure promises are kept.
